Announcing Litigation for Animal Welfare (LAW)

One of the most important of these efforts is Litigation for Animal Welfare (LAW), a nonprofit organization founded by our own Alexandrea Merrell. LAW exists to confront the systemic failures that allow animals to suffer without justice. Through legal action, education, and advocacy, LAW challenges institutions, individuals, and industries that exploit or endanger animals.

LAW’s mission is straightforward: to ensure that the law does not simply exist on paper but is actively enforced in the courtroom. From bringing cases that expose cruelty, to empowering attorneys who want to dedicate their skills to animal advocacy, LAW is building a network of legal professionals committed to change.
